Adjoa K. Hackman-Stevens is a Medical Assistant and Respiratory Care Technician currently employed at Permian Health Lung Institute. She holds a Higher National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of The Gambia, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Development Studies from the same institution.
Adjoa has been working in the field of healthcare for over a decade. Prior to her current role, she worked with the Ministry of Health in both urban and rural areas of The Gambia. Her expertise lies in medical laboratory techniques, having gained extensive experience during her tenure.
Adjoa's commitment to professional development is evident through her additional training. She has acquired certifications in GenXpert and Florescence MBT, highlighting her commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in her field. Additionally, she has completed two certificates in ICT, demonstrating her proficiency in information and communication technology. She has also been trained in ICH Good Clinical Practice E6 (R2), Social Norms, and Adolescent Kit Tools.
Outside of her work, Adjoa possesses a wealth of diverse hobbies and talents. She is a creative individual, having previously owned a business where she utilized fabrics and recycled materials to design various items such as shoes, bags, clothes, handfans, necklaces, neckties, and bowties. She is also skilled in creating unique pieces using beads. Adjoa's passion for confectionery is evident in her expertise as a chocolatier, where she can make chocolate from scratch using cacao beans.
In addition to her professional and artistic pursuits, Adjoa is actively involved in her church community as a children's teacher. She is dedicated to providing educational and engaging activities for children, both within and outside of the church setting.
